This creative animated video reminds boaters of how important it is to have a child’s life jacket fit properly. The U. S. Coast Guard approved video shows examples of life jackets that are too big and how they may slip off the child during an emergency. Similarly, the video shows how a life jacket that is too small mat not float the child properly. Both situations will lead to dangerous conditions for the child. Boaters should be mindful of these conditions and realize that as children grow their life jackets need to be replaced with that are properly fitted. This video PSA was funded by a 2019 non-profit boating safety grant administered by the U.S. Coast Guard.
